Employer Withholding Changes for 2022

The PA Department of Revenue has limited the number of line items for Return Files to 30,000 and file size to 20MB. If your file is larger than 20 MB, you must break the file into several smaller ones. Please click the link below for more information on the W-2/1099 file formatting, specifications and reporting instructions.

Any errors found in the file must be resolved and the file must be reattached before the request can be submitted and processed. All columns must be in the order listed on their specification pages linked below, columns cannot be reordered after the file is attached. To access the return or payment file submissions you must sign up for myPATH as a ‘Third Party Tax Professional’. More information is available in the Online Customer Service Center.
